What we are looking for

The ideal candidate must have multiple years of experience with B2B marketing with excellent communication skills. You should have experience working in a startup setting and have helped with new product launches or re-branding efforts. Telling user stories is massively important for this role as is the ability to manage vendor relationships. We are seeking a professional with experience in Growth Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Social Media, Digital Marketing, Management, Start-up, Product Marketing, D2C, digital acquisition, performance.

We’re seeking a full-stack growth marketing executive to lead a team of talented marketers on an exciting mission: to unlock the next wave of marketing-driven growth for African businesses, professionals and investors. You’re also an excellent communicator who excels at cross-functional collaboration, and as a ‘manager of managers’, you know how to coach your leaders to help them and their teams realize their full potential.

The position reports directly to the CEO and will also play role as the company’s Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). Thus, will also be responsible for the performance, strategy, and alignment of revenue operations in the company. In this role the CRO will be responsible for defining and maintaining the revenue strategy, architecting and integrating the revenue system, and designing and launching revenue programs. This position is responsible for overseeing the operations of Business Development, Sales, and Customer Success departments, and ensuring that the interaction between those departments is aligned with the larger company-wide strategy lead by the Chief Executive Office

The CGO will be responsible to grow a multi-brand corporation in a B2B and B2C environment while ensuring alignment with the overall company purpose. The CMO will lead client acquisition, customer experience, communications, analytics, and advertising. The ideal candidate is a brand visionary and technology evangelist who is excited to bring their experience to a well-established company and bring it to the next level. We are seeking someone hands-on with a proven track record of innovating and executing new media marketing tactics in social, digital, direct response that align with the business strategies and brand positioning.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and implement a cohesive marketing plan to increase brand awareness from scratch
  • Responsible for leading the global marketing, product management, customer experience, and engineering at AfriForceData
  • Manages sales and customer success at AfriForceData where he is responsible for new account growth.
  • Develop and implement lead generation and branding strategy through inbound and outbound marketing, including email campaigns, website optimization, content marketing, advertising, social media, webinars, and event.
  • Leads learning and development initiatives that impact the sales organization and provides stewardship of sales and sales management talent, all of which are essential to the sales organization’s success. Includes overseeing the effective delivery of training and development programs, proactively assessing the value of training and development investments, and monitoring learning and development outcomes to ensure high ROI.
  • Build strong working relationships with the CEO and other leadership in order to formulate and develop effective marketing and business strategies that will align with the overall company objectives
  • Establishes and governs the sales organization’s performance management system. Includes establishing guiding sales organizational principles for managing performance; establishing and prioritizing critical performance measures for all sales jobs; overseeing the equitable allocation of organization objectives across all sales channels, markets and personnel; and ensuring all key sales and sales management associates are held accountable for assigned results.
  • Lead all traditional advertising and digital marketing efforts. This includes, paid search, social media, direct response mass media, email marketing, and the leverage of analytics to develop strategies and campaigns.
  • Develop lead generation strategies and campaign optimization based on analytics that drive both on-line and call center leads.
  • Lead and coach a team of talented domain experts across SEO/organic, paid marketing and customer engagement marketing. In addition to overseeing our strategy across multiple existing channels, help us light up new channels we haven’t even considered yet.
  • Partner effectively with the Product/Growth, Engineering, Web Marketing, Finance and Data Science teams to identify, prioritize and execute on high-growth strategies.
  • Build strong working relationships with the CEO and other leadership in order to formulate and developing effective marketing and business strategies that will align with the overall company objectives.
  • Oversee the overall customer experience. Develop and implement strategies that will optimize the experience and reflect the company values and mission.
